There has been little activity in the Europe’s linepipe market due to the seasonallull in summer. Yet investors are reluctant to risk capital on large investments inexploration, long-term development, and infrastructure on the back of volatileoil market.European seamless linepipe suppliers are trying to maintain their offers at theprevious level, although there is some downward pressure. MBR understands thatseamless linepipe 2”-4” to grade API 5L B is currently selling at about €870-880/tonne FCA in the Eastern Europe, while larger sized pipes 6”-8” are offered at€940-960/tonne FCA. Seamless 20” linepipe to grade API 5L B/X42 offers are nowbeing made from Poland at around €1,050-1,080/tonne cpt into Central Europe.We expect European mills may revise their price lists slightly upwards in the fourthquarter. The prospects are a little brighter for late 2017 as end-user demand willimprove slowly and export demand from markets in the Middle East, whereEurope is one of the main suppliers, looks set to increase too.
