Background: Stress may be one of the main causes of fear and anxiety. Previous studies have shown that the nucleus accumbens is involved in emotional responses. However, in the nucleus accumbens, the mRNA and miRNA profiles of stress susceptibility and resilience of psychological stress still need to be studied.
