Background: Emergency Department (ED) follow-up programs ensure that cultures, laboratory studies, and empiric antimicrobials are appropriately managed post-discharge. We sought to provide a comprehensive assessment of a pharmacist-driven laboratory follow-up process in a large, integrated health system.
