Some manufacturers are focusing on the development of robotic mowers for more productive and sustainable park maintenance, Sally Drury explains.Will mowing in the future still require someone to walk behind or sit on a machine? Perhaps not. Husqvarna firmly believes the solution to more productive and sustainable park maintenance in the years ahead needs to be focused on robotics.Throughout 2017, the company conducted several successful trials in commercial settings, with the aim of improving productivity and sustainability in parks. Husqvarna Automowers were installed at various locations, including Princess Street and The Mound in Edinburgh, Regent's Park in London and Worcestershire Golf Club.
