CIS export pig iron prices offered by merchants in the Black Sea market failed to gain any traction with buyers, who had the availability of cheaper Brazilian material the week ended April 9, sources said. Two sales of Brazil-origin cargoes, high phosphorus, were done to the US (30,000 mt) and Turkey (30,000-35,000 mt) at $520/mt FOB South Brazil, several sources said.
