Marietta-Circtec, a technology developer and producer of renewable fuels from end-of-life tires, and carbon black producer Birla Carbon, have signed a long-term supply agreement for sustainable carbonaceous materials. To support this partnership, Circtec is building a flagship production plant in the Netherlands, which will utilize its pyrolysis technology to turn millions of tires into 73,000 t/y of sustainable carbonaceous materials in the next five years. Production is scheduled to begin by the end of 2022.
