Oslo—Horisont Energi has selected Saipem SpA and Technip Energies for two independent concept studies for the full conceptual design of its proposed Barents Blue carbon-neutral ammonia plant in Hammerfest, Norway. The studies, which have already begun, will display the design of the blue ammonia facility, based on Haldor Top-soe's SynCOR Ammonia technology with over 99% overall carbon capture. Expected to be completed in November 2021, the studies will be key for future decisions to realize the project.
