摘要

China's galvanized steel sheets market has been prosperous In the recent five years. Both the domestic output and the imports have been surging and the consumption keeps a fast growth rate. From 1992, the domestic consumption increased by 24 percent annually on average. All the key large- and medium scale steel producers in China are interested in galvanized steel sheets and actively invest to expand their capacities. By the end of 2004, the total capacity of galvanized steel sheets will reach 10.59 million tonnes. So far, many of the expansion projects have not been working with full capacity and some are still under construction, so the supply deficit is large and domestic production can only meet 44.46 percent of the market demand in China.
