Honda under-performed expectations in its fiscal third-quarter, with a 40% drop in operating profit and 69% fall in net profit, as incentive spending increased, the sales mix deteriorated and currency movements were adverse. Over the first nine months, group revenue rose 3.4% with all divisions contributing to the increase. Currency effects were unfavourable, reducing the increase by about 1.9pts.
