Shipmanagers are at the sharp end when it comes to ensuring that crew are properly trained and remain in industry. Atthe same time they have to contend with a plethora of new technologies coming on stream as the industry heads down the road of greater automation. And, if that wasn't enough, the prospect of more strigent legislation is also keeping them awake at night whilst they struggle to be more energy and financially efficient. The Marine Professional approached several leading players to understand their pain points.
