Turbochargers have seen widespread use within the global engine market because of their ability to increase power and make combustion more efficient. However, the growing emphasis on fuel-efficient operations in the marine industry has led to an evolution within the turbocharging market. The two-stroke sector has seen slow and ultra-slow steaming become the norm, changing the load requirements of engines, while in the four-stroke sector speeds have largely remained the same, with the emphasis on increasing powerdensity inthe latest models to hit market.
