MacGregor: North Star is an observation pod that gives cruise passengers a bird's eye view of a ship at sea (pictured). Comprising a crane and an observation pod or 'gondola' of the type seen on contemporary Ferris wheels, it is able to lift guests 91 m above sea level to give them panoramic views of the ship, sea and ports of call. The 7.1-tonne gondola can accommodate up to 14 guests and one crew member.
