摘要

This articles outlines an evaluation conducted to ascertain the experiences of student nurses, mentors and lecturers of the implementation and ongoing progress of the NHS Education for Scotland Career Long ePortfolio. The evaluation was conducted to examine the challenges and enabling factors of a pilot project implementation to enable the outcome to inform the next stages of this process. The key findings of this evaluation outlined the positive experiences a variety of groups have had, and crucial within this feedback are the benefits for students evolving into qualified nurses, as well as the positive impact this will have on their personal and professional development including evidence for revalidation. The recommendations from this evaluation indicate that student nurses would benefit from using the Career Long ePortfolio from the beginning of their nursing career.
