KENYAN FARMERS export a wide variety of produce around the world and their industry is changing, becoming more mechanised as they drive production forward. To find out more about this successful output, members of Herefordshire Agricultural Club visited the country and discovered the cultural changes and massive investment that is now taking place.One of the farms we visited is run by Jim Foxton in the Naivasha region.He supplies French beans into all the major UK supermarkets through Vegpro, a major Kenyan exporting company for vegetables and flowers.He said: Six years ago I started with a couple of central pivots, 30 staff and some jembies to till the land, and my office was under a tree.
