The Hachinohe Fisheries Cooperative Association has taken delivery of the 'Kaiyo Maru 51', the first deep-sea trawler built in Japan in a quarter of a century.Designed and constructed by Japanese shipbuilder Miho Zosensho and operated by the Kaiyo Fishery company, the 1,028DWT stern trawler measures 61.9 metres in length overall, with a beam of 12.5 metres, a depth of 5.5 metres and a draught of 5.4 metres.
