Having delivered the 'SD2188' prototype to the Chinese Coast Guard in 2009, Shenzhen Hispeed Boats Technology & Development has commenced building the remaining fast patrol boats in the series and is scheduled to deliver three new SD2188 vessels thisyear. After providing hundreds of HP1500 fast interceptor vessels (top speed 53 knots) to the China Coast Guard, in order to match developing security mission requirements, Shenzhen Hispeed Boats set about designing a new, larger fast patrol boat for the client.
