Delivered to Volstad Shipping in May, the ROV survey vessel 'Volstad Surveyor' is a fine example of Norwegian and Spanish technical accomplishment. Designed by acclaimed Norwegian naval architecture firm Skipsteknisk, the research vessel 'Volstad Surveyor' was built by Spain's Freire Shipyard for subsea operations including seabed mapping in the North Sea. The state-of-the-art ROV / survey vessel is equipped with full suite of advanced navigation and communications instruments, and outfitted with very high-grade accommodation and facilities for its maximum complement of 62. With an overall length of 85.3 metres (length bp = 75 metres) on a beam of 18 metres, the vessel has a depth of 9.1 metres and a draught of 6.8 metres.
