摘要

Dynamic muscle work on the bicycle increases the regional brain blood flow by 15 to 50% in dependance of the amount of muscle mass activated and the intensity of work. The blood flow in the grey Substance increases more than in the white one. Static work fails to achieve a higher blood flow. Exercise at 60% VOmax reduces the glucose turnover in different parts of the brain by 5 to 15% after-work duration over 10 min. Neurotransmit-ters and endogenous peptides influence the aerobic capacity and performance during muscular work. The brain may function as a performance limiting factor. Further details, psychic interactions, and a theory for the evolution of thoughts are presented as well as peripheral effects.
