摘要

In 2011 the Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Amsterdam, supported four hospitals in the development and implementation of a care pathway for prostate cancer. A series of joint conferences was organized over a period of a year. In these conferences, the participating teams shared knowledge and learned with and from each other. After the final conference, the project leaders visited the hospitals to evaluate the project. Although not all hospitals achieved all of their goals, the project was successful. We think that a collaborative project like this can speed up care pathway development and implementation. The possibilities of sharing knowledge and learning from each other's experiences are numerous. We would recommend that the project leaders pay frequent visits to the participating hospitals to assist the teams and to monitor their progress.
