A recombinant laccase from thermophilic bacteria was used to construct an enzyme-multi-walled carbon nanotube composite catalyst, which shows improved stability as a bio-electrocatalyst for the oxygen reduction reaction compared to similar conjugates prepared using the commercially available T. versicolor laccase.
