Looking overall across the U.S. healthcare system, what does the landscape around patient engagement look like to you, in general? While patient engagement is improving, it is still very fragmented. The patient experience today is still far from a holistic, connected system, which is not only frustrating for patients, but can also be dehumanizing. What healthcare organizations must remember is that customer expectations are at an all-time high across all industries. The good news is that patients are more than willing to embrace digital tools throughout the patient journey - interacting regularly with EHR portals, communicating with providers via text and email, and scheduling appointments online or using text messaging.
