摘要

Isachne soderstromii, a new species from Dominica in the Lesser Antilles, is describedand illustrated. The new species can be recognized by the combination of the followingfeatures: distichous leaves, blades with conspicuous midrib, panicle branches andpedicels with glandular bands, and glabrous rachilla between the lower and the uppersimilar anthoecia. The new taxon is compared with morphologically related CentralAmerican and Caribbean species of the genus. Additionally, a key to the species ofIsachne occurring in Central America and the Antilles is provided.
