LLOG sublets Rowan Gorilla IV First quarter 2012 total contracted utilization for jackups remained fairly flat before increasing a percentage point each month in the second quarter and peaking at 60.1 percent in June. During each month of the third quarter, which encompasses the first half of hurricane season, contracted utilization fell. For the month of September, average contracted utilization came in at 54.3 percent. However, when compared with one year ago, utilization is up considerably. The month that recorded the highest average contracted utilization rate in 2011 was December, which came in at 54.2 percent. For comparison, September 2011 averaged 43.5 percent utilization.
