摘要

Phosphate is an essential nutrient to all living organisms because it is required for diverse cellular functions and organ development, in body fluids, phosphate is present mainly as inorganic phosphate (Pi). In cells and tissues, Pi is found in a variety of organic substances, including sugar phosphate, phosphoproteins, phospholipids, and nucleic acids, and plays a critical role in vital processes (Takeda et al., 2000; Weiner et al., 2001). Moreover, Pi plays a critical role in diverse cellular functions involving intermediary metabolism, energy transfer mechanisms, cellular signaling, enzyme activity, muscular, and neurological functions (Takeda et al., 2004). Pi homeostasis is tightly regulated. Pi entry into the eel! is mediated by sodium dependent inorganic phosphate transporters (NPT) (Caverzasio and Bonjour, 1996; Prie et a!., 2005).
