Henan-based Jiaozhuo Wanfang Aluminum Co., Ltd on August 29 signed an agreement with the USA's Hazelett and Swiss ABB to jointly construct an aluminum sheet & strip project with capacity of 200,000tpy at Jiaozhuo city of Henan province. With a total investment of 600 million' yuan(USD74.1 million), the project is scheduled to come on stream in the first half of 2007 and expected to bring 4.0 billion yuan(USD494 million) of sales and 600 million profits each year. The ABB is one of the top 500 companies in the world and enjoys high reputation in the electric power and automation industries. The USA's Hazelett will supply the major facility for the project. Jiaozhuo Waafang is one of the 100 key-supporting companies in Henan province and the project has been listed as one of key-supporting projects by the government of the province.
