Aluminum Corporation of China(Chinalco) planned to produce 7.2 million tonnes of alumina, 1,21 million tonnes primary aluminum, 400,000 tonnes aluminum semis, 27.000 tonnes molybdenum concentrates(45 percent), 3,200 tonnes titanium metal and titanium semis, 11.500 tonnes copper-in-concentrate, 165,000 tonnes copper cathode in 2005. said Mr. Xiao Yaqing, general manager of Chinalco, at the company's 2005 work meeting held in Beijing on January 17. This year, Chinalco expects to complete construction of alumina projects with a combined capacity of 1.8 million tpy, primary aluminum projects with combined capacity of 400.000tpy, aluminum semis projects with capacity of 320,000tpy. The company also planned to add over 100 million tonnes of bauxite resources and make its total asset increased by over 20 percent, said Mr. Xiao.
