A spokesperson for the Catfish Farmers of America is fearful that after a couple of years of heavy shrinkage, the next couple of years could see even more. Joey Lowery, a 25-year-veteran in the industry and president of the industry organization, didn't put any figures on it, but told Aquaculture North America a few weeks ago that feed prices and inequitable competition from overseas producers have been crippling the industry.
