When embarking on the build of a '32 roadster you can follow the well-trodden path, or put a more traditionally British spin on it. Early in 2005, the NSRA was looking for something special to give away at that year's Hot Rod Supernationals. A nod from Ricky Beasley at Classic and Custom Contours pointed the club in the direction of John Shakeshaft at Arma Street Rods, an 'arm' of his Armour Fabrications business. A deal was subsequently struck in which a reproduction steel '32 roadster body and chassis package would feature in the prize draw at the Supernats that August.
