It's a milestone worth celebrating. Caterpillar dealer Whayne Supply Company, which has 16 locations across Kentucky and southern Indiana, is marking 100 years in business. The company has a rich history and is moving ahead with a commitment towards growing its ag business. The first Whayne Supply Company store was founded by Roy C. Whayne Sr., who sold small engines, pumps, wheelbarrows and bicycles from a small shop in downtown Louisville. In 1920, his company signed a contract to represent the Holt Manufacturing Company. Five years later, Holt merged with Best Company to form Caterpillar, making Whayne Supply one of the oldest Caterpillar dealers in history.
