This story really began in the 1970s when I bought my first Ford Model T car from a horse dealer in Dublin. At the time, I was just starting to get the 'hang' of my engineering business in Norfolk and things were going rather well. I remember thinking that we'd never had it so good when I saw an advert in the Exchange & Mart offering a Ford Model T for sale. A quick phone call and I was on my way. I arrived in Dublin and a taxi ride took me to meet one Mr Chalk. The first impression was that it was a 'done deal' and the price was finalised over a very welcome Irish stew.
