摘要

The efficient development and evaluation of complex cooperative systems in the automotive sector requires new methods. IPG Automotive and Continental describe a vehicle-in-the-loop approach in which simulation data for the development and testing of cooperative functions is fed into a real vehicle that moves in a fully automated manner in a real environment. The development of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving functions requires a high level of interaction between all the systems involved. Moreover, particularly for cooperative driving maneuvers, the communication of the vehicle with other road users or the infrastructure (Vehicle-to-X, V2X) and the perception of the environment by means of sensors are extremely important. Virtual vehicle development is increasingly used to efficiently test and validate corresponding systems. For that purpose, a realistic vehicle model including vehicle dynamics, actuators, sensor and environment models is required. All components should be suitable for modular integration to enable testing of various algorithms and models, as well as testing of different combinations of software and hardware components.
