Gartner recently published its 9th annual Supply Chain Top 25, a ranking of the world's leading supply chains. Since the beginning, the ranking has looked to answer one important question: Of the world's largest companies with the most global reach, which are the furthest along on the journey to being demand driven? The ranking continues to draw intense interest from practitioners, academics, and publications around the world a mark of the growing importance of the supply chain discipline. Our focus in producing this ranking goes beyond excellence to identify leadership in the supply chain, highlighting best practices to help raise the bar for the supply chain profession as a whole. While there are always some exciting new names on the list, there are some common characteristics that separate the best from the rest. This article discusses the insights and trends we've seen this year from the leaders.
