A new winemaker brings more than a decade of wine industry experience to Michelini Wines at Myrtleford in Victoria's high country.Fresh out of high school, Matt Kilby's first job was in liquor retail and it is there that his love affair with wine began.Years exploring the classic varieties and iconic Australian regions laid the foundation for a passion for wine that never really let go.Leaving his home town of Melbourne, Kilby spent about ten years working in the racing industry in both the Hunter Valley and Central Victoria, always in close proximity to good wine growing country, before deciding to return to the wine industry, this time as a winemaker.
