Tissa Wickramasinghe, general and commercial manager of Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT), proudly claims that his facility is in a different league from the other two terminals at the Port of Colombo. 'Our infrastructure is totally different from the other two terminals,' he says. 'When the Sri Lankan government developed the Colombo South Harbour project, the intention was to have a deepwater port that could handle the largest ships afloat. CICT is currently the only terminal in the country which can do that.'
