As S&P Global Platts reports that domestic renewable-diesel (RD) producdon capacity had reached IB gal/y in 2021 is expected to grow even further this year, shipments of the fuel from the US Gulf Coast (USGC) to the West Coast state of California will likely be done using Jones Act vessels, which are US-flagged ships that must be used when transporting cargoes between US ports.
