Output in 2017 was 469MM boe (1.28MM boe/d)-up from its target of 450-460MM boe (1.23-1.26MM boe/d). For the last 2 years, China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) had set production targets that were lower than the previous year's actual output, but this year's target is 470-480MM boe (1.29-1.32MM boe/d)-0.2-2.3 higher than 2017's output. Production targets for 2019 and 2020 are higher, as well, at 485MM boe (1.33MM boe/d) and 500MM boe (1.37MM boe/d) respectively. CNOOC's breakeven point is only $32/bbl. Natural gas will account for 19 of total output this year, up 1 from last year.
