Crude production from the globe's leading oil producer has dropped to its lowest level in a year due to rising output from the US coupled with waning demand due to continuing economic uncertainty. The Middle Eastern nation averaged 9.5MM b/d of oil output in Nov., down from a 30-year high of 10.1MM b/d in June and 230K b/d lower than Oct. output. Overall, OPEC production was 30.78MM b/d, the cartel's lowest production level in a year as well. Meanwhile, oil production from the US has risen by 760K b/d this year, the largest annual increase ever thanks to the country's ongoing shale boom.
