Everyone knows Trix are for kids. But is that silly rabbit purposely peering at your child as a sly marketing ploy? A report by the Cornell University Food and Brand Lab states that the "average angle of the gaze of cereal spokescharacters on cereal boxes marketed to kids is downward at a 9.6 degree angle" compared with the straightforward gaze of adult brand characters. According to the report, "Eyes in the Aisles: Why Is Cap'n Crunch Looking Down at My Child?" cereals marketed to kids are also placed half as high on supermarket shelves as adult cereals.
