摘要

The flourishing scale (FS; Diener et al., 2010) is a short measure of well-being that has been shown to have good validity in many cultures and languages. In Canada, the validity of the original FS has been tested, but no study to date had tested the validity of the French version (Villieux et al., 2016) in a Canadian sample. Furthermore, the FS has often been linked to the Five-Factor Model of personality, but not to the newer HEXACO model. In the present study, 139 French-Canadian students completed the French FS, the HEXACO-60 personality inventory, the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), and the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS). Results confirm that the French version of the FS has good internal consistency, is unidimensional, and has evidence of validity for French-Canadians. Extraversion and conscientiousness remain linked to FS scores, while honesty-humility, which is unique to the HEXACO, does not seem to be related. Further relations between the FS and the other measures used, as well as the implications of these relations for future research are discussed.
