Domestic standard MOP price indications were stable at 2,150-2,200 ringgit/t ex-factory. There are unconfirmed reports that Nafas’ MOP buy tender was awarded at 2,050 ringgit/t ex-factory for Canadian product. Nafas had sought 20,000t of standard MOP under the tender, which closed on 31 March. Some plantations are expected to issue MOP buy tenders from next week onwards after the Eid al-Fitr holiday, for second-half 2023 delivery.
