As previously announced, on May 20 Ukrainian Danube Shipping Co held 12 tenders for grain transportation by barges ex Reni and Izmail. Each of the proposed barges has a hold volume of 2,000 cubic meters and a capacity of up to 1,500 t. As a result of the tender, shipping rates for heavy grain such as wheat from Izmail varied from €79.13/t to €93.15/t, while those from Reni ranged from €67.7/t to €87.67/t.
