As it is confirmed by all the officials in Turkiye, Ukraine and the UN, the "Black Sea Grain Initiative for safe transportation of agricultural products across the Black Sea" has been extended for another 120 days. This happened in Istanbul on Nov 17. The United Nations and Turkiye remained the guarantors of the Initiative, according to Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. He also added that Ukrainian officials appealed to partners of the Initiative with a proposal to extend it for at least 1 year and to include the Mykolaiv port in it, but were still waiting for the response. Before the full-scale war, about 35 of all Ukrainian food exports were shipped via the terminals of the Mykolaiv region.
