In general, the situation is virtually unchanged on the North European coaster transportation market. Spot cargo offer is moderate in Baltic ports, with relatively brisk grain traffic and sporadic shipments of other cargoes. The Continent is still looking somewhat livelier, but even this area shows no significant improvements. The tonnage list is quite long in all parts of the basin. Players also report a slight activity decline in the region due to industry events in Antwerp. However, deals are sometimes concluded slightly above the previous levels, which is mainly referred to strengthening bunker prices. Moreover, the traditional worsening of weather conditions is reported in the region; some vessels are delayed and charterers have to urgently look for a replacement and agree to new freight levels:
