Reuters data indicated that the cracking margin on WTI at the US Gulf Coast plunged by $10.93/bbl to a weekly average of $23.37/bbl-after having risen in the previous week-while WTI crude priced at Houston in the Gulf Coast state of Texas decreased by $9.59/bbl over the week ending Aug. 5 to reach $93.77/bbl. The cracking margin on Brent in the region dove by $9.29/bbl to average $7.64/bbl, after having increased in the previous week.
