If Michael Slaven ever gets around to writing his autobiography he may well want to borrow the title from film director John Hughes's 1987 comedy "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles." Slaven, who grew up on a poultry farm, said they were always long on fowl and short on money. "Anything you could fix yourself put you money ahead," he said. He's always been fascinated with anything that moves so his father suggested the automotive field.
