In the recent years natural colourants/dyes have attracted the attention of the entire world. In almost all the industrial countries there has been an accelerated evolution of environmental legislation. Many workshops, national seminars were arranged in different research organizations for introducing natural colourants/dyes in textile industries in place of synthetic dyes, with the increase of the world wide concern for the environmental circumstances many are anxious for the possibility of the natural dyes because they can overcome the defects of synthetic dyes such as ecofriendly, user-friendly, pollution free and easy available from natural resources.
