Causes of increase in pneumafil waste at ring frame have been studied. It was observed that pneumafil waste increases due to higher end breakage rate and high piecing time. It is verified from the present study that control of pneumafil waste results in better yarn realization. Feed material variability directly affects the end breakage rates, pneumafil waste and hence yarn realization.
