Knutsen OAS has unveiled an alternative to the Coselle system (see The Motor Ship, September 2001) for transporting natural gas from small and marginal fields. Norwegian shipping company Knutsen OAS has launched a new gas carner design. The ship, if built, is intended to get natural gas from its point of origin at sea to processing facilities.
