Boise-local Paul Anderson, an aviation photographer, videographer and writer, has been in love with the aviation industry since 1945. At the age of six, he flew on a Northwest Airlines DC-3 from North Dakota to Minneapolis-St. Paul, an event which still puts a smile on his face. "When I was young, I spent summers in Europe riding a bicycle around airports," he says. "I visited at least a couple dozen airports, making me fall in love with the industry." Paul has been an Airways contributor since 2007. His article about flying to Mt. Everest and Lukla's Airport in the Himalayas brought in excellent reviews and remains one of our readers' favorites. This month, Paul writes a story on the place where United Airlines celebrates its . birthdays (p. 60). "This is something not many people know about one of the world s largest airlines," he enthuses.
