The Dutch government is pushing ahead with its decision to cut Amsterdam Schiphol's capacity even as the industry and a court challenge the legality of the plan, which was created on environmental grounds with little consultation. The move is one of several legislative measures being imposed on commercial aviation by governments across Europe in the face of pressure to take action on climate change ahead of the introduction of the European Union's Fit For 55 environmental package.
